-- The wahoo, an aggressive tuna relative with firm white meat with a mild flavor. The name means "delicious" in Hawaiian.

Pipi kaula -- A spicy dried meat; basically a Hawaiian-style beef jerky.

Poi -- A bland whitish to purplish paste made from the root of the taro (see below).

Poke (pronounced "pokey") -- Seasoned raw fish, which can be made from a variety of local species (mahi mahi, ahi, etc.)
